I have watched it today ! Interesting, it sets a new relationship between Gene and Alex ! The new character ("Jim", I think) seems intriguing, I was under the impression he was addressing and reproaching us for liking Gene Hunt ! :D
I wonder if it was voluntary ...

Otherwise, it seems Gene Hunt has a lot of influence on the minds of outsiders/time travelers. Humm, food for thought ... and of course, maybe we will finally learn the final fate of Sam Tyler ! I wanted to scream at Alex when she put the file away without reading it properly, I can't wait ! :bounce:
So, I loved everything about the mythology ! :yeah:

On the other hand, I didn't really care much about the case of the week : it was pretty obvious one of the parents was involved ! Not a lot of suspense there !

Looking forwar to next week !

Next episode will be in two weeks sadly.

I've seen it too and really liked it. I was a bit surprised in the first minutes...
about how fast we deal with Alex's little trip in the present. I mean the second season's amazing suspense of the end is taken apart in a very easy "all in your head" way :(

... and indeed the case really wasn't the most interesting we saw.

But the arrival of this new character and his weird behaviour for sure brings new questions and ...
I was waiting for sooo long that Sam Tyler's case came back in the main story !!! :bounce: :bounce:

The next two weeks are going to be loooooong ! ;)

2 weeks ?!? Noooooooooooooo ! :tears:

I agree with you on the trip to the present that was too short and concluded too easily, it cheapens the last season's cliffhanger ! But the new character and mysteries managed to renew my interest ! Ditto on Sam Tyler : if I were Alex I would have looked harder to fin what happened to him ! Glad to see she will finally question this angle !

I hope they will know when to stop the series and that they will find a way to resolve it in a satisfactory manner !

In the end, the 3X02 was broadcast last Friday ! Has anyone seen it ?

I have and I have liked it !

The case was interesting, but I think Shaz's doubting herself seemed to come out of the blue ! On the other hand, I liked the new DI's machiavelic schemes to isolate Gene ! As I suspected last week, Gene was involved in Sam Tyler's "death" (is he really dead, though ?) and Alex is starting to catch up on this. I hope we won't have to wait too long to get clear answers !

The next episode is in two days ! :bounce:

Yes I've had the good surprise to see it and I've really liked it. I think Ashes to Ashes always have an issue with seasons' first episodes cause from the second one it's already far better :D (it took my ages to convince Rottweiler to go beyond the very first episode of this TV series).

I'm really wondering why the "Life on Mars" song came in with the close picture of Shaz. It strongly suggests a link with the initial series, and then with Sam. How ?

I want to see the next episodes quick !!! :bounce: :D

Last episode : Not bad, for once, I actually liked Ray and didn't find him too annoying ! 8-)
On the other hand, we don't get much for the arc of the season, it is a little disappointing !
I liked Alex's remark on Labour "never getting us involved in pojntless wars" ! Other than that, Jim is trying to slowly unravel Gene's team but it is not really working yet. :D

Not a bad episode bnut not a particularly remarkable one either !

That's it ! Now it is finished ! :bawl:

I found 3rd season, like the 1st one for Ashes to Ashes was too much focusing on the finale. For both seasons some episode were, let's say it, a bit boring but in both cases the end of season was great.

This was the case here for sure, especially as it was the conclusion to both Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.

What have you thought of this conclusion if you've seen it (in spoilers for now)

So once again it was the eternal fight between God and the tempting Devil with Sam, Alex but also Ray, Chris and Shaz being tested in this kind of purgatory.

I found the end lacking a bit of originality but the idea of Gene Hunt/God is also nice :D

I loved it when Alex says "My God!" and Gene replies "Don't call me like that"
